Job summary

IRCO invites applications for a Mill Park SUN Extended Day Coordinator to support after-school programs for youth at Mill Park Elementary in Portland. The role covers administrative tasks, attendance, and activity supervision within SUN Community Schools, with a focus on youth enrichment and family engagement.

The position is in person, requires a background check, and involves working with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check through Oregon Department of Education and David Douglas School District.
• Experience working with youth in groups of 15+ is preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist SUN Site Manager with administrative tasks and program data.
• Support extended day classrooms with behavior management and student engagement.
• Help with attendance records, registrations, and databases.
• Provide substitute coverage for SUN Manager when needed.
• Encourage student homework completion and school engagement.
