Self Enhancement, Inc. seeks a SUN Extended Day Coordinator to assist with overseeing extended day programs and supervising volunteers, teachers and participants. The role supports homework, tutoring and mentoring initiatives within the SUN Community School.

The position operates part-time in multiple locations in Oregon, with a focus on building positive relationships with youth and families and ensuring a safe, engaging after-school environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth in social service, recreation, or education preferred.
• Ability to be a positive role model and communicate effectively (oral and written).
• Some knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Publisher) and Google Docs; ability to create promotional materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist SUN Site Manager with extended day program oversight and supervision of volunteers, teachers and participants.
• Organize family nights and special events; promote SUN activities.
• Assist in registering students, coordinating classes, and communicating schedules to parents.
• Provide homework support, tutoring, and mentoring for at-risk students.
• Develop rapport with students, staff and families from diverse backgrounds.
