Program: Youth Service - Workforce Development
Reports to: Worksite Supervisor
Compensation: $17.28 per hour
Schedule: Various schedules offered
Building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society.
The Youth Center serves youth up to age 24 who are at-risk of or experiencing homelessness, providing services in an LGBTQ+ affirming environment. Services include meals, clothing, support groups, education programs, employment training, case management, counseling, crisis shelter, and transitional living programs. Community-based programs support youth in various settings.
This internship prepares individuals for the workforce through work readiness, financial literacy, skills development, career coaching, and mentoring. Placements include working in our culinary arts program, front desk at the Youth Center, or with community partners like OUAI cosmetics, LA DogWorks, and others.
