Job summary

Dewberry is currently seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation Group in the Owings Mills, MD office. This internship offers hands-on project experience, working on horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and traffic schemes.

You will collaborate with a team of professionals, applying the latest technology to client projects and expanding your professional skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Emphasis in Transportation) is required
Previous Transportation focused internship experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
Proficiency in MS Office software
Desire to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

The intern will support transportation design projects, including horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage, and stormwater management
Assist with erosion/sediment control and development of maintenance/traffic schemes
Assist in preparing contract plans for various project types and clients
