Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation group in Charlotte, NC. The position provides exposure to roadway, structural, drainage design, traffic engineering and transportation planning with a tailored training program.

Interns gain hands-on project experience and participate in workshops, with opportunities to work on meaningful projects and develop technical and communication skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (with emphasis in transportation) required.
• Solid oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using CADD (Microstation or AutoCAD) preferred.
• Desire to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Developing and evaluating engineering solutions
• Preparing design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and drawings
• Assisting with various studies and documenting results
• Adherence to assigned project schedules and budgets
• Writing internal communications
• Performing other duties as assigned
