Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Owings Mills, MD. You will join our Transportation Group and gain hands-on project experience while applying classroom knowledge to real-world designs. Ideal candidates are pursuing a B.S.

in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Transportation, have strong communication skills, and familiarity with CAD tools. Housing stipends may be provided for eligible students, and this internship offers substantial learning

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a B.S. in Civil Engineering (Emphasis in Transportation) is required
• Previous Transportation focused internship experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience using CAD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Proficiency in MS Office software
• Desire to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Design horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control
• Develop maintenance and protection of traffic schemes
• Prepare contract plans for a variety of project types and clients
