Job summary

Dewberry in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Survey Intern for Summer 2027. You will join a survey crew assisting with boundary, ALTA, topographic, right‑of‑way, and construction surveys using the latest equipment.

The role requires currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering, GIS, or Planning, with strong math and communication skills. Prior internship experience is a plus and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or Civil Engineering, GIS, or Planning.
• Previous internship experience is a plus
• Must have good Mathematical skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must have good communication skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
• Must be physically able to work outdoors and on construction sites under all weather conditions; able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be willing and able to travel for extended periods
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the field supervisor with all aspects of the daily crew workload
• Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations
• Ensure safekeeping of equipment
• Ensure that vehicles are supplied and kept in an orderly fashion ready for duty
