Job summary

Dynamic Engineering is seeking a Survey Intern to assist in land surveying duties, data collection, field notes, and project support. Responsibilities include site surveys, boundary and topographic work, field file preparation, and coordination with surveyors and staff engineers.

A high school diploma is required, with a bachelor’s degree preferred; 0-2 years of experience and a valid driver’s license are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Surveying preferred.
• 0-2 years’ experience in surveying.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a personal/company vehicle.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• OSHA 10/OSHA 40 safety training is a plus; willingness to obtain.
• Independent and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected survey assignments quickly and accurately.
• Conduct site, boundary, topographic, plot plans, roadway and subdivision surveys.
• Prepare and set up survey files for field crews.
• Prepare field notes and organize field equipment.
• Conduct grade sheet computations.
• Research deeds and filed maps for boundary analysis.
• Create topographic/as-built surveys and boundary sketches.
• Prepare Metes & Bounds descriptions.
• Project Datum conversion/transformation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
