Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers is offering a summer Structural Engineering Internship for an upper-level civil or structural engineering student. You will work alongside experienced engineers on active projects, applying classroom concepts to real-world design and analysis, with mentorship and exposure to project delivery and site observation.

Internships available in multiple locations including Detroit and Grand Rapids, Michigan, as well as West Coast offices.

Qualifications

• Must be a continuing student enrolled through Fall 2027.
• Senior in Civil Engineering planning to transition directly into a Structural Engineering graduate program in Fall 2027.
• Current first-year Graduate student in multi-year Structural Engineering master’s or Ph.D. program.
• Structural Analysis, Steel Design, Reinforced Concrete Design coursework required by internship start date.
• Undergraduate GPA minimum 3.40; strong graduate performance expected.
