Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in Atlanta, GA. You will work on enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security and monitoring, and contribute to automation across public and private clouds.

You’ll collaborate with a team of mentors, gain hands-on experience in tooling, CI/CD, and software development best practices, and have opportunities for future full-time roles depending on performance and graduation timing.

Qualifications

• Currently a college student pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or a related field.
• Passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions.
• Collaborative attitude with clear verbal and written communication.
• Experience with Windows/Linux, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Proficiency writing code and scripts in at least one high-level language.
• Interest in automating manual tasks and improving processes via automation.
• Familiarity with AWS and public cloud architectures.
• Awareness of Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban).
• Interest in secure, resilient applications at scale and data-driven performance measurements.
• Familiarity with AI tools for productivity, testing, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning and procedures across environments.
• Document development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Help develop and follow security and engineering standards.
• Build tools and pipelines to enable CI/CD across environments.
• Automate code packaging, deployment and configuration management across environments.
• Solicit feedback from delivery and operations teams to optimize throughput and quality.
• Monitor system and service performance and escalate where needed.
• Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
