Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking Software Development Interns to join our team and learn from the best. You’ll collaborate with a supportive group to build automation, tooling, and pipelines that drive continuous integration and delivery across environments.

As a student in computer science, you’ll gain hands-on experience with Windows and Linux, containers, databases, and cloud basics (AWS). You’ll work under a mentor, take on meaningful projects, and help improve secure,

Qualifications

College student pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or a related field.
Passion for technology, reverse engineering, and writing code to create solutions.
Strong written and verbal communication in one-on-one and group settings.
Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
Experience in writing code and scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
Automation mindset to reduce manual activities.
Familiarity with public cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
Familiarity with Agile concepts (Scrum/Kanban).
Interest in building secure, resilient applications at scale.
Interest in gathering data and measuring performance.

Responsibilities

Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning and procedures across environments.
Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
Help develop and follow best practices, security and engineering standards.
Build tools and pipelines needed to facilitate CI/CD across environments.
Automate code packaging, deployment and configuration management processes.
Solicit feedback from delivery and operations teams to optimize throughput and quality.
Track system and service performance and escalate as needed.
Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
