Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Intern - Technical Management to work on enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines and automation. You will gain hands-on experience with cloud environments, security and monitoring while contributing to real-world software engineering tasks.

You will collaborate with teams, learn industry best practices, and leverage AI tools to improve productivity and quality. This internship requires pursuing a BA/BS in CS or related fields and a passion for technology.

Qualifications

Current college student pursuing a BA/BS in computer science or related field.
Passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions and fix problems.
Collaborative attitude with strong verbal and written communication.
Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
Experience in writing code and scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
Desire to automate manual tasks and improve efficiency through automation.
Familiarity with public cloud architecture and technologies, preferably AWS.
Familiarity with Agile concepts and processes (Scrum and Kanban).
Interest in building secure and scalable applications and measuring performance.
Familiarity with AI tools that assist in producing, testing and automating tasks.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security and quality monitoring.
Develop tools to automate tasks and maintain infrastructure on public and private clouds.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management across environments.
Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
Help develop and follow best practices, security and engineering standards.
Build tools and pipelines to enable continuous integration and delivery across environments.
Automate code packaging, deployment and configuration management across environments.
Solicit feedback from delivery and operations teams to improve CI/CD throughput and quality.
Monitor system and service performance and escalate as needed.
Leverage AI tools to assist in productivity, testing, and automation.
