Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an energetic Software Development Intern to work on enterprise platforms, deployment pipelines, security, and monitoring. You will help build automation across public and private clouds and support infrastructure tasks.

You will collaborate with teams, gain mentorship, and contribute to scalable, secure applications while exploring AI-assisted testing and automation. This paid internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic tech environment.

Qualifications

• Currently a college student pursuing a BA/BS degree in computer science or a related field.
• A passion for technology, reverse engineering and writing code to create solutions and fix problems.
• Experience with Windows and Linux systems, containers and databases.
• Experience with source code, build, deploy, orchestration and configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with public cloud architecture and technologies, preferably AWS.

Responsibilities

• Developing automation for infrastructure provisioning and procedures across environments.
• Documenting new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
• Helping develop and follow best practices, security and engineering standards.
• Building tools and pipelines to facilitate CI/CD of software to all environments.
• Automating code packaging, deployment and configuration management processes.
• Soliciting feedback from delivery and operations teams about CI/CD challenges and optimizing throughput.
• Tracking system and service performance across environments and escalation when needed.
