Job summary

Cub Creek Science Camp in Rolla, Missouri seeks Specialty Instructors for the 2027 season to lead camp activities, engage campers in science and nature, and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. You’ll work cooperatively with staff, deliver hands-on projects, and support campers’ curiosity and growth.

The role requires at least one year of college or equivalent, a passion for animals and science, strong communication, and teamwork in a vibrant, outdoor setting with meals provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in group settings is a plus.
• Passion for science, animals, and childhood development.
• Teamwork and ability to follow camp policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction of assigned camp activities to campers.
• Manage camper behavior to ensure active participation.
• Ensure the safety of all campers during activities.
• Keep program areas clean and supplies well maintained.
• Provide emotional support to campers following behavior guidance as trained.
• Follow camp policies to ensure camper and staff health and safety.
