Job summary

Cub Creek Science Camp is seeking a Summer Camp Advocate to support cabin counselors, address campers' emotional needs, and coordinate events on-site in Missouri. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership and youth mentorship within an immersive outdoor setting.

Internship or credit-earning options are available and training opportunities may be provided. The position requires on-site availability 7 days a week during the 11-week contract, with daily breaks and one day off per week to support

Responsibilities

• Support cabin counselors in managing daily cabin dynamics and foster a safe, positive environment.
• Address camper emotional and behavioral needs and escalate when needed.
• Communicate updates to parents, counselors, and directors regarding camper well-being.
• Collect camper preferences and surveys to improve experiences.
• Plan and run special camp activities with program directors.
• Enforce safety, camper accountability, and emergency procedures.
