Job summary

Cub Creek Science Camp in Rolla, Missouri seeks photographers for the 2027 summer season. You will photograph and video camp activities, edit and upload daily photos, and prepare parent newsletters. You’ll work with campers and animals, supporting their safety and memorable experiences.

Starting pay is $4,050 for 11 weeks with on-site housing, meals, laundry included. Weekend work is required and on-site availability seven days a week for the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Take photos and video at assigned locations and activities throughout the week, including camper check-in, courses, classes and evening activities.
• Edit photos, upload to storage, and label with camper name or subject.
• Assist campers in handling animals to ensure safe interaction and good photographs.
• Select and upload photos for camper memory cards and daily slideshows.
• Upload photos daily to the gallery for parents to view.
• Provide emotional support to campers as needed following staff guidelines.
• Demonstrate a desire to positively impact a child’s life and put campers first.
• Show a passion for science, animals and childhood development.
• Communicate ideas clearly and constructively.
• Be self-motivated with minimal supervision and follow assigned goals.
• Be willing to learn new concepts and skills.
• Work well in a team and take and give direction.
• Adhere to camp rules and conduct policies.
