Cub Creek Science Camp in Rolla, MO offers a hands-on summer program for ages 7–17. Cabin Support Counselors live in a cabin with campers, support daily routines, and help lead activities to create a safe, joyful camp community.

This flexible role suits returning staff or new leaders seeking variety and less admin duties. Starting pay is $750 for 3 weeks, with housing, meals, laundry, and on-site work seven days a week; weekend commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Completed High School in the last school year.
• Desire to positively impact the life of a child and willingness to put campers first.
• Passion for science, animals and childhood development.
• Able to effectively communicate ideas and instructions in a constructive manner.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and skills.
• Able to work in a team and take direction from others.
• Willingness to adhere to camp’s code of conduct and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to campers on their schedule and activity choices.
• Assist campers at meals and in the cabin to maintain health and hygiene.
• Lead cabin activities, songs, and age-appropriate games.
• Provide emotional and behavioral support as needed using staff guidelines.
• Support or lead instruction of assigned camp activities.
• Ensure the safety of all campers during camp activities.
