Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation’s largest homebuilder, invites you to apply for the Summer 2027 Sales Intern program in Indianapolis.

You will gain hands-on experience across departments, participate in rotations, and build skills in sales, marketing, finance, and operations while supporting daily activities and projects. Ideal candidates are currently pursuing a four-year degree, with strong communication, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year college, junior or senior, or recent graduate.
• Pursuing a degree or coursework related to the internship area (business, tech, construction, real estate, etc.).
• Demonstrated interest in learning about career opportunities within homebuilding, financial services, or other D.R. Horton functions.
• Strong willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a team environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with team members, customers, and partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn new software quickly.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations within the assigned department, division, or jobsite.
• Assist with department projects, research, reporting, and administrative activities.
• Learn and apply company policies, safety requirements, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with teams to understand how departments support customers.
• Participate in trainings, rotations, and other learning opportunities.
• Explore future full-time opportunities after graduation.
• Maintain professional, ethical conduct and travel as needed.
