Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. offers a Summer 2027 internship in Roads and Highways to support the Transportation team. Interns will perform independent calculations and design tasks under mentorship, contributing to freeway, highway, and local road projects.

You will use Bentley OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and related tools, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and gaining hands-on experience through real projects in multiple locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years of coursework in an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to ask questions and learn in a mentorship environment.
• Eligible for Summer 2027 internship in multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of roadway and transportation projects.
• Support engineering calculations, plan preparation, costs, and documentation.
• Develop plans using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and other tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and attend meetings/site visits.
• Gain hands-on experience through mentorship and real-world projects.
