Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) invites interns to join our Roads and Highways Practice for Summer 2027 in multiple locations, including Spokane, WA, and Portland, OR.

You will work on multidisciplinary projects, perform independent calculations, and assist in developing construction drawings under mentorship. Candidates are pursuing an ABET‑accredited Civil Engineering degree with at least two years of coursework, possess Excel/Word skills, and demonstrate strong teamwork and

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Civil Engineering degree with at least 2 years of ABET coursework.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Comfortable with asking questions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of roadway projects.
• Support engineering calculations, plan prep, cost estimates, and documentation.
• Develop designs using OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD/C3D, and other tools.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, and field observations.
• Gain mentorship and hands-on experience.
