Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Intern for the Roads and Highways practice to support the Transportation team during Summer 2027.

The role involves independent engineering calculations, design tasks, and transforming concepts into construction drawings across multiple locations including Denver, CO and other western cities. The candidate will gain hands-on experience with multidisciplinary teams, perform cost estimates, prepare plans, and assist with technical writing and

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and design of roadway and transportation projects.
• Support engineering calculations, plan preparation, cost estimates, and documentation.
• Develop and modify plans using MicroStation, AutoCAD/C3D, and OpenRoads Designer.
