Job summary

Santaclaritavolunteers seeks friendly and engaging volunteers for the Summer Reading Program in Santa Clarita. Responsibilities include signing up library members, distributing prizes, and assisting staff with activities and crafts.

Eligible volunteers are juniors and seniors from junior high and high school, committed to a minimum of 2 hours per week for a total of at least 20 hours. Mandatory training session attendance is required prior to volunteer assignment.

Qualifications

• Age: 14 to 17 years old. Junior high and high school aged individuals only.
• Commit to at least 2 hours a week for the duration of the program.
• Attend a mandatory training session before starting.

Responsibilities

• Sign up library members for the Summer Reading Program.
• Hand out prizes for each milestone.
• Assist library staff with special programs and activities.
