Job summary

Prospect Hill Academy Charter School is seeking qualified teachers to support literacy intervention in our July Summer Scholars Club for students entering grades 2–4. You will plan literacy lessons daily, monitor progress, and share goals with families while facilitating engaging sessions.

The program runs June 29–August 6, 9:30 am–12:30 pm, Monday–Thursday. Teacher hours are 8:30 am–12:30 pm, with the first hour for preparation; orientation includes virtual and in-person sessions TBD.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated track record of effective small-group literacy instruction.
  • Ability to analyze daily learning data to monitor progress and adapt teaching.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Ability to communicate progress to families.
  • Understanding of foundational skills development in literacy for grades 2–4.
  • Knowledge of multisensory, sequential phonics instruction.

Responsibilities

  • Plan daily literacy intervention lessons for each group.
  • Track progress and share goals with families.
  • Provide strong learning facilitation during sessions.
  • Support rising grades 2–4 literacy development.
  • Collaborate with school staff for program alignment.
