Job summary

The City of Redwood City is seeking a Library Activity Leader for Youth Services & Community Engagement to fulfill a part‑time role of 5‑15 hours per week across the Downtown Library, Redwood Shores, and Schaberg Branch libraries in the San Francisco Peninsula area.

The position involves creating and delivering storytimes, events and programs for families and youth, adhering to library policies and delivering excellent customer service. Bilingual ability in Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• The Library Activity Leader supports the Youth Services and Community Engagement Division working year-round at the family friendly Downtown Library, Redwood Shores Branch Library and Schaberg Branch Library.
• They work with library staff to create and deliver storytimes, events and programs, follow library policy and procedures, and provide excellent customer service to families, children and teens.
• Is an energetic person who enjoys interacting with diverse families and children (ages 0-12) and teens (ages 12-18).
