Job summary

Goodfellow Bros. in Livermore, CA is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for summer 2027.

Under supervision, you will assist with layout, form design, subcontract monitoring, and change order prep, plus plan checking, document control, quality control and safety monitoring. This role offers hands-on experience on construction projects, with duties ranging from tracking hours to coordinating material deliveries and assisting in cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related major.
• Travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager/Project Engineers/Estimators with all construction related duties.
• Track work hour utilization and productivity.
• Maintain files of material suppliers, labor laws, equipment rental rates and qualified subcontractors.
• May assist field personnel in manual tasks on construction projects.
• Coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work to progress schedule.
• Prepare data for monthly invoices and project cost reports.
• Review timecards and communicate discrepancies to payroll.
• Answer phones and perform clerical duties.
