Job summary

Goodfellow Bros. invites students to join our Reno, NV team as a Project Engineer Intern for Summer 2027. Under supervision, you will assist with layout, form design, and subcontract monitoring on real projects.

You will help track work hours, assist in change orders and plan checking, prepare data for invoices, and support daily project activities at our fourth-generation heavy-civil company.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related major.
• Must have the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction duties including layout, form design, and subcontract monitoring.
• Track work hour utilization and productivity with Project Engineer/PM.
• Maintain files of material suppliers, current labor laws, equipment rental rates, and qualified subs by category.
• Coordinate material deliveries and subcontract work per schedule.
• Prepare data for monthly invoices, pay estimates, and job cost reports.
• Review submittals and ensure timely processing; attend meetings as needed.
