Job summary

Rice University is seeking a Program Administrator II for the Office of Summer Sessions and Precollege Programs. The role combines in-office and remote work, with options to work from home up to two days per week.

The position supports new initiatives, enrollment of visiting high schoolers, and event planning for summer programs, while maintaining budgets and records. The ideal candidate has strong administrative and organizational skills, attention to detail, and collaboration and communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 1+ years experience in a professional office setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new strategies and adapt to change.
  • Experience working in a mission-driven organization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administers the daily operations of assigned program(s) with guidance from leadership.
  • Conducts research, analyzes data, and develops reports.
  • Plans and monitors annual project budgets and assists in longer-term budget planning.
  • Recommends outreach plans, communications, events, and conferences.
  • Coordinates recruitment activities and supports faculty, staff and students.
