Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. in Faribault, MN is offering a Summer 2027 internship in Manufacturing Engineering.

The 12-week program runs May–August and includes hands-on lab and production experience, mentorship from industry experts, and opportunities to work with engineering and production teams on real projects. You will spend time on the manufacturing floor, learn processes and equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion.
