Qualifications

• Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in mechanical or a related engineering discipline
• Intellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end
• Genuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems
• Ability to complete in an in-person 12-week internship in one of our offices in summer 2027

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design— CAD, assemblies, mechanisms, and structural components for next-generation systems
• Prototyping & manufacturing— turning designs into hardware through machining, fabrication, 3D printing, and other manufacturing processes
• Testing & validation— building test setups, running experiments, analyzing results, and improving designs
• Structures & mechanisms— designing components that withstand demanding mechanical, thermal, and environmental requirements
• Systems integration— integrating mechanical hardware with electrical, embedded, and autonomous systems
• Engineering tools & analysis— simulations, modeling, tolerance analysis, and tools that accelerate hardware development
