Idaho Forest Group is seeking reliable, motivated individuals to join our heavy‑duty mechanic shop as entry‑level summer helpers in Lewiston, Idaho. You will assist with basic maintenance, service support, and parts stocking in a fast-paced mechanical setting.

The role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow instructions as part of a team. Candidates must be at least 18, enrolled as a full‑time student for Fall 2026, with safety checks including a hair

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enrolled as a full-time student for Fall 2026.
• Pass hair follicle drug test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians with routine oil changes, lubrication, and basic vehicle maintenance tasks for rolling stock.
• Provide support for repair tasks, including fetching tools, holding parts, and cleaning work areas.
• Receive, organize, and stock parts in the shop's inventory, ensuring tools and materials are readily available for technicians.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, including sweeping floors, disposing of waste, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Assist in cleaning, organizing, and maintaining tools and shop equipment.
• Follow instructions from lead technicians and shop supervisors to support daily operations.
• Other duties as needed.
