American Pump & Drilling is seeking a Machine Shop Helper / Laborer to assist machinists and pump technicians with daily shop operations in Ucon, Idaho. No prior machine shop experience is required, just a mechanical mindset and a strong work ethic.

The role offers cross-training across the Machine Shop, Motor Rewind Shop, and Pump Service Department, with potential field service opportunities as skills grow. Overtime and benefits accrue after 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist machinists and pump technicians with daily shop operations.
• Load, unload, clean, and organize pump components and materials.
• Disassemble and clean pumps, motors, and related equipment.
• Prepare parts for machining, assembly, and shipping.
• Safely operate forklifts, hoists, and other shop equipment (training provided).
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the company with opportunities on field service projects.
