Job summary

Dakota Gasification Company in Beulah, ND is offering a summer internship (May 17, 2027–August 20, 2027) to support Field Maintenance Technicians in repairing plant equipment at our Beulah site.

This temporary role involves hands-on tasks with various tools, safety procedures, and teamwork. The ideal candidate is enrolled in a welding or mechanical maintenance program with a 2.5 GPA, at least 18 years old, and a valid driver’s license; lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Enrolled as a full-time student in a welding or mechanical maintenance program, with freshman year completed; or recently completed a welding or mechanical maintenance program (within the past 12 months).
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
• A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance tasks to repair and maintain plant equipment and machinery.
• Assist with operating all types of power, hydraulic, and hand tools, including saws, drills, sanders, impact wrenches, jackhammers, machine cutting tools, slings, come-a-longs; hydraulic, pneumatic and measuring tools; oxyacetylene, welding/fabrication; and hydro blasting equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting equipment to diagnose problems.
• Support the annual Family Night event, including setup, participation, and cleanup, as part of departmental responsibilities.
