Job summary

Southwest Power Pool in Little Rock, AR, offers a Summer 2027 IT Corporate Applications internship as Programmer/Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain internal applications, coordinating with teams to optimize operations.

This onsite, 10–12 week internship runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with paid compensation and housing available if needed. You will gain hands-on experience, build professional skills, and present a capstone detailing lessons learned.

Qualifications

• College student entering their senior year pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Interest in programming, software development, and IT systems

Responsibilities

• IT Concepts & Tools: Gain hands-on experience with SPP’s IT systems, tools, and software relevant to your role.
• Project Work: Complete assignments under the direction of IT leads and supervisors, supporting areas such as stakeholder committees, settlements, data services, reliability systems, market services, and IT support.
• Teamwork & Collaboration: Contribute technical support to help project groups meet critical deadlines.
