Southwest Power Pool (SPP) is accepting applications for a Summer 2027 Financial Analyst Intern to support the FP&A team during the budget cycle and monthly close. This onsite internship in Little Rock offers hands-on financial analysis in the energy sector, with opportunities to contribute to expansion projects and strategic planning.

The role emphasizes data preparation, variance analysis, and communications, building analytical and technical writing skills under director-level guidance.

Qualifications

• College student working toward a bachelor’s degree or above in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Must be entering senior year or have completed at least three years of undergraduate coursework by the start of the internship.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical acumen with the ability to interpret financial data.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A team with financial analysis during the internship.
• Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly close processes.
• Contribute to financial model updates and variance analysis.
• Prepare budget commentary and presentation materials for director-level review.
