Job summary

Southwest Power Pool (SPP) in Little Rock, AR is offering a Summer 2026 Financial Analyst Intern role within our FP&A team. You’ll gain hands-on experience with budgeting, monthly close, and financial modeling while supporting decision-making for our energy portfolio.

Key tasks include data preparation, variance analysis, preparing budget commentary, and presenting findings to director-level leadership. This paid internship includes housing support if needed and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• College student working toward a bachelor's degree or above in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Entering senior year or completed at least three years of undergraduate coursework by the start of the internship.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical acumen with the ability to interpret financial data.

Responsibilities

• Support FP&A team with budget preparation and monthly close.
• Assist with data preparation, variance analysis and explanations.
• Update financial models and evaluate project performance.
• Prepare budget commentary and director-level presentation materials.
