Job summary

Highmark Health invites applications for the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship. This program offers hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

As part of Internal Audit, interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to evaluate controls protecting assets and systems, while gaining insight into enterprise IT risk assessment and regulatory

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services aligned with day-to-day operating objectives and receive guidance from senior personnel.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Assist in planning and implementing unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs to meet operating unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
