Job summary

Highmark Health invites undergraduates to join the Summer 2027 IT Audit Internship. This program provides hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance within Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls protecting assets and sensitive data and to gain insight into IT risk assessment and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day problems.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects to develop professional skills appropriate to the organization.
• Participate in planning and implementing unit projects within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or proposals for action.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the unit objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
