Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship to provide hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance within Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls, protect assets, and ensure regulatory compliance including HIPAA requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program (full or part-time).
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship at this time.
• Interest in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day IT audit activities and participate in IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Assess technology and security risks, perform research and analysis, document audit results, and develop recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support enterprise risk management objectives.
