Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking candidates for the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship. This role offers hands-on experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to evaluate controls that protect assets and sensitive information while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Full-time or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day audit activities and IT assurance engagements.
• Participate in IT assurance and advisory engagements, assess technology and security risks.
• Document audit results and develop recommendations for action.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to drive risk management.
• Gain exposure to HIPAA, data privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Assist with system implementation reviews and audit methodologies.
• Contribute to projects that support enterprise risk management objectives.
