Job summary

Highmark Health's Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship offers hands-on experience across IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance. You will work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, and Risk Management teams to evaluate control effectiveness protecting systems and data.

The program provides exposure to assurance activities, system implementations, and audit methodologies while supporting risk management objectives and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively while interacting with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders in planning assignments and resolving day-to-day operational issues.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services as appropriate to day-to-day operating objectives; receive guidance and mentoring from senior personnel.
• Undertake and/or participate in projects and programs to develop professional skills and expertise.
• Participate in planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise and ability.
• Conduct research and reporting inclusive of recommendations or alternative proposals for action as requested by management.
• Undertake related studies or enrichment programs to meet objectives of the operating unit.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
