Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's PGBA offers a 12-week Summer Student Intern position in Myrtle Beach or Florence, SC, from May 17 to August 6, 2027. The internship is on-site, full-time (40 hours/week) and provides hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to healthcare operations.

Interns will perform tasks across departments, maintain information systems, complete area projects, and participate in training, volunteering, and networking events designed to build practical skills for

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be currently enrolled in college pursuing a 4-year degree.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining documents, spreadsheets, databases, or related items.
• Use various systems and tools to perform research and support projects.
• Participate in department training to acquire knowledge and skills.
• Create, present, and report on area statistics and learn workflows.
• Support staff and engage in volunteering and networking events to learn about healthcare insurance.
