Job summary

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina invites applications for a 2027 Summer Internship in Columbia. This full-time, 12-week program runs May 17 to August 6, 2027, on-site at 4101 Percival Road, Columbia, SC.

You will work 40 hours per week with an assigned team to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare insurance industry. You will perform training, maintain documents and data, support projects, and report on area statistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Analytical or critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Good planning and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong listening skills and ability to follow directions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Engage in training and tasks across departments.
