Job summary

PGBA, LLC is offering a 12-week Summer Student Intern program in Myrtle Beach or Florence, SC. Open to all majors, the internship runs May 17–August 6, 2027, 40 hours/week, on-site.

You will gain hands-on experience, perform tasks across departments, and participate in training and networking events within BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina family. Applicants should be enrolled in a college program, have at least 12 credit hours in your field, and be able to obtain a security clearance (US

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be currently enrolled in college with at least 12 semester hours toward a 4-year degree.
• Two years of academic study; rising junior or senior preferred.
• Areas of study may include Communications, Public Health, Business Admin, HR, Data Analytics, Data Science, Marketing, Sales, Healthcare Admin or CS.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tasks across departments as directed under supervision.
• Maintain documents, spreadsheets, databases and related items.
• Use various systems to perform research and support projects.
• Participate in training to learn departmental procedures and industry practices.
• Prepare area statistics and reports; support colleagues with daily operations.
• Attend volunteering and networking events to learn about the healthcare insurance industry.
