Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation's Southwest District invites applications for a Planning LPA intern. The role assists in administering MoDOT’s Local Public Agency program under moderate supervision, focusing on documentation review, coordination with local agencies, and data tracking.

You will participate in policy discussions, help update forms and guidance, and conduct occasional statewide field visits to inspect projects, contributing to the team’s mission of safety and efficient

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
  • 30 credit hours completed toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
  • Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.

Special Working Conditions
  • This is a wage, non-benefits eligible position, working no more than 1,039 hours per year.
  • Job may require occasional, statewide, overnight travel.
