Job summary

The Missouri Department of Transportation's Southwest District invites applications for a Planning LPA intern. The role assists in administering MoDOT’s Local Public Agency program under moderate supervision, focusing on documentation review, coordination with local agencies, and data tracking.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree program full-time (12+ credit hours).
• 30 credit hours completed toward current degree program. High school or other postsecondary program credits must be shown to be accepted by the current program through a degree transcript to apply.
• Possess and maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review and file required LPA project documentation and work with local agencies and MoDOT Staff to ensure documentation is accurate.
• Take part in policy discussions and help with updating and producing standard forms and guidance documents.
• Aid in coordination between staff as needed.
• Help with consultant and contractor matters on LPA projects.
• Support MoDOT LPA staff in general daily activities and compile LPA program tracking data.
• Conduct field visits to inspect projects.
