Job summary

Jobtailor offers a summer internship focused on PFMEA within manufacturing environments. You will learn PFMEA fundamentals, participate in reviews, and assist with data, reporting, and documentation across cross-functional teams.

You will gain exposure to vehicle programs, launches, and transitions, while developing problem-solving and analytical skills with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools. Travel to plants may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Graduating between Aug 2027 and Jun 2029.
• Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the summer months.
• Exposure to PFMEA, Control Plans, Standardized Work, or vehicle assembly is a plus.
• Interest in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Automotive processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Willingness to learn and ask questions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to learn and use Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other digital/analytical tools.
• Ability to work effectively with different teams and business partners.
• Must not require GM immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, or other immigration support.
• Expected to report to the GM Technical Center in Warren, Michigan three times per week at minimum
• Travel to manufacturing plants may be required.
