Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC in Newington, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work with cross-functional teams to execute fabrication, machining, and inspection activities on site.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and gain hands-on experience in GD&T, CNC processes, and NDE while supporting operations teams. This paid internship runs May–August 2027 at our Newington facility.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related engineering degree.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Interpret engineering drawings including GD&T.
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, welding, dimensional inspection, and NDE.

Responsibilities

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

About the role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will be in collaboration with cross-functional teams—including supply chain, project controls, design, and quality engineering—to ensure successful execution of fabrication, machining, and inspection activities.

You will report to the Engineering Manager and be located at our Newington, NH facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, welding technology, dimensional inspection, and NDE processes
