You will work on I&C plant systems design, testing, documentation, and site support for nuclear power generation projects. Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering and have completed their sophomore year.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.

Responsibilities

• Interpret functional requirements for Instrumentation & Controls Plant Systems.
• Design, document and test I&C Plant Systems used for Nuclear Power Generation Stations applications.
• Develop I&C design specifications to meet functional requirements.
• Implement I&C hardware and software designs to meet design specifications.
• Develop design documents, test plans and procedures to demonstrate that designs meet requirements.
• Create and issue Field Change Notices to site to support hardware and software modifications.
• Resolve technical issues that arise during system design, implementation and site commissioning/startup.
• Support manufacturing operations to facilitate procurement, manufacturing process, testing and integration of I&C Plant Systems during Software In-Loop and Factory Acceptance Testing.
• Support field operations during site commissioning and startup activities.
• Provide cost and schedule estimates to support subject matter experts.

Education

Pursuing bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical/Nuclear Engineering

About the role:

As a Control Systems Engineering intern, you will report to the Control & Information System Engineering Manager and be located at our Warrendale and Cranberry facilities. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer, May - August 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $25.40 to $29.00 per hour.
