Job summary

Genentech is offering a 12-week Summer Intern position in Product Technical Development within the Digital Sciences Focus, based in South San Francisco, on-site. Applicants should be pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or have completed it within 2 years) and demonstrate coding skills in Python, R, Flask, Django, or React.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (at least 2 years completed).
• Strong coding experience in Python or similar is desirable.
• Willing to work 40 hours/week for the 12-week duration of the internship.
• Experience in a research lab or biotechnology setting is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop interactive web-based tools to visualize antibody sequences and highlight residue characteristics.
• Perform in-silico lipid modeling and related simulations.
• Create and implement databases and electronic lab notebook schemas.
• Conduct in-silico protein stability studies and contribute to data science models.
