Job summary

Roche's Genentech unit seeks a 2027 Summer Intern in Product Technical Development with a Digital Sciences focus. This on-site role in South San Francisco offers a 12-week, full-time paid internship with an OSA stipend of 2500 USD.

You will work on digital projects that apply programming, ML, and AI to improve drug development and data insights. Qualified students pursuing a bachelor's degree with 2+ years completed, or recent grads within two years, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree at the time of application (having completed at least 2 years of the degree program).
• Must have attained a bachelor’s degree within 2 years of your application date and must not be currently enrolled in a graduate program.
• Relevant work experience with coding/computer science (e.g. Python, R, Flask, Django, React, etc.) in a research lab or biotechnology industry setting is desirable but not required.
• Must be able to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the 12 week internship.

Responsibilities

• Leverage programming, machine learning, and AI skills to contribute to digital projects across PTD.
• Develop web-based tools and data science models to enable insights and faster drug development.
• Participate in projects such as interactive antibody visualization, in-silico simulations, and data databases.
• Present final project work to senior leaders at the end of the internship.
